1 CFD Analysis of the Thermal Performance of Heat Sink with Varying Geometrical Parameters

Abstract- The computational fluid dynamic software FLUENT 14.00 work bench is used which is CFD analyzing code in assessing the electronic cooling potential of a heat sink. Heat sink is an electronic device which is used to dissipate the heat gained from processor of CPU. It is mounted above the CPU to extract maximum amount of heat flux generated in it. In the current work, the CAD model of heat sink has been developed by using UNI-GRAPHICS NX-8.0. The model has been simulated using Ansys software on fluent domain 14.00 workbench in order to observe various parameters affecting the thermal hydraulic performance of heat sink channel. Four types of configurations of heat sink have been used with different profiles. An optimized model of heat sink has been developed with rectangular shaped roughness on fin wall. The simulations have been performed at a constant heat input 10W, with different Reynolds numbers i.e. ranging from 2000 to 10000; the simulation of the optimized model gives higher value of pressure drop, less thermal resistance and increased Nusselt number. It has also been observed that profit factor was reduced at moderate pumping power. The results are validated with reported experimental data. The configuration of type-4 gives maximum convergence on all parameters amongst all the configurations used.

Abstract- Watermarking is a method to hide the image efficiently into any covering object (image in our case) so any intruder cannot interpret it by any means. Paper present different available watermarking methods available and problems associate with watermarking. Paper also discussed the parameters requires ensuring efficient watermarking. Paper also explains Discrete Wavelet Transform as it is a popular technique for converting time domain image into frequency domain and DWT helps adaptive watermarking. Paper also explains Singular Value Decomposition because it provides noise margin in long distance communication, paper also elaborate Automorphism and its importance in watermarking process.

3 Improved Two Stage MOS Low Noise Amplifier with High Gain and Low Reflection

Abstract- Wireless technology came in to existence in 1901, when Guglielmo Marchese Marconi successfully transmitted radio signals across the Atlantic Ocean. The beginning of the 21st century sees great development and demands on wireless communication technologies. In this thesis, IEEE 802.11a Receiver front-end is designed for WLAN high speed applications. The receiver's circuits play an important role in faithfully recovering the information transmitted through the wireless channel. Front-end specifications are derived from IEEE 802.11a standard. From this block level specifications are derived. In this thesis, I have designed Low Noise Amplifier and Mixer for IEEE 802.11a WLAN applications by using CMOS 180nm technology with power supply of 1.2V. The LNA is a very important block of the whole receiver. It is the first gain block in the receiver. The LNA must be able to provide enough amplification with minimal noise added to the system in order to improve SNR. Different types of LNA architectures are explored and differential cascaded source degenerated LNA has been implemented to suit our need. Inductive source degenerated LNA is used for high linearity and low thermal noise. Mixer is another important block in the receiver, which converts the RF frequency to IF frequency. Different types of mixers are explored and Gilbert architecture with bleeding technique has been exploited to fulfill our needs. Gilbert architecture is chosen to eliminate feed through with slight modifications. Bleeder current source is used to decrease the noise due to switches in the design of mixer. Tail current source is removed to improve swing since this is low power supply.

Abstract- In this paper presents an analysis of concrete illnesses, curing treatments, and problems leading to unsatisfactory performance of repaired concrete structures. In this we describe the types of surface preparations that are commonly adopted in Indian conditions and their limitations. An attempt has been made in this paper to discuss the properties and types of grouts, the application techniques. This study highlights the problem of corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete structures and attempts to provide the measures available in design to mitigate the effects of corrosion. The various types of coatings available and the precautions to be taken in the selection of coating systems in view of these limitations are also discussed.
